Milngavie Vets pipped at the post for their Third Successive McIntyre League Championship
The Milngavie Vets secured another superb away win at Balmore on 4th Sept to finish on 26 points in the 16 club McIntyre League.Interesting to note that 13 of these points were scored in their unbeaten last 5 matches. Unfortunately it was not quite enough to overtake Helensburgh G.C. who finished as champions on 27 points.
Considerable credit can be afforded to all those who participated in a superb championship particularly to the rookies and reserves and our gallant captain
Lindsay Renfrew who didn't manage to play.
David Blair, James Mitchell, Jim Craig, Alistair Tait, Jim Mcclymont, Graham Young, Gordon Bennett, Dougie Kirkham, Andy Clark, Jim Crawford, Robert Sharp, David Holt, Norrie Telfe, Frank Mosson, Rab Mccabe, Archie Whitelaw, Bill Stoddart, Ian Mccarry, Jim Milligan, Jim Graham, Phil Ward, Bob Marsden, Peter Howie.
Lindsay's babes will reign again!

Milngavie Gents Vets late challenge for McIntyre League
Milngavie Vets McIntyre team are making a late challenge to retain
the 16 club league title for a third successive year.
Having languished in 6th place 10 days ago 2 suberb away wins
last week have elevated the club into second position.
If league leaders Helensburgh are to be caught then our vets
require to win their remaining 2 games on 28th August(home)
and 4th September(away) and hope that Helensburgh falter in
their remaining match away to Kirkintilloch.
Come on yee vets!!!
