Seniors McIntyre League 2008 Prizegiving at Windhills G.C.

The final event of the year, namely the 2008 prizegiving was held
at Windyhills G.C. on Wed 24 Sept. The cup was presented to
Helensburgh G.C. as this year's winners.

Milngavie G.C. were close runners up just one point behind after the 15 match series.
The event also included a greensome involving all 16 clubs prior to the prizegiving.
Once again Milngavie G.C. were runners up with a net score of 66.2
Helensburgh G.C. produced the winning score of net 66.0.
Milngavie G.C. were represented by Captain David Blair and Jimmy Mitchell

Milngavie seniors are doing well in Senior Opens this year.
Jimmy Mitchell won the Trophy for best visitor score at Cowal Seniors
Eddie Conway was 3rd at West Linton Seniors
Alastair Tait 3rd at Glenbervie Seniors
Jim Craig second at Cardross Seniors
Peter Howie had a fantastic gross 70 (CSS 70) net 62 at Hayston last week to win both the scratch and the handicap.
These competitions  all have big entries so it is well done the vets!

Milngavie came 3rd in the Donald Cameron Seniors at Windyhill only 3 strokes behind the winners. Team was Rab McCabe, Bob Sharp, Dougie Kirkham, Alastair Tait, Ian McCarry and Jim Craig
